Wales: rain and beauty

On my way back from Scotland I spent a couple of days at Haggs Bank Bunkhouse (  managed by my friend and extremely nice person in Danny Taylor. This bunkhouse and campsite is located in Cumbria “The Roof of England”, the place is amazing: clean, comfortable, surrounded by a beautiful nature and you feel everytime a warm welcome.

I enjoyed myself those days resting and riding in the nicest windy roads of the area, of my favourites in England. Also I rode to the highest cafe shop in England: Hartside Top Cafe.

Leaving that place I took a road recommended by Danny where I could listen literally the silence, nobody there just me and my bike…umm and well some sheeps.

Days later I met up with Danny again, he helped me to check my bike and mainly to change the pads of the front break, adjust the chain and the rear tyre. I will be always thankful with him.

Btw, I tried Marmite on a toast, this is typical English, you love it or hate it. I have to try it again to decide haha

I still had some days before leaving England and was persuaded by my friend Destina, who lives in Wales and met in the Adventure Travel Film Festival, to visit this country of the United Kingdom. So I set out on and arrived to the National Park of Snowdonia. The town I arrived was Betws-y-Coed. I found a campsite in the outskirts of the town, where crossing the road were The Swallow Falls, I will always have the sound of these falls in my mind beacuse during the nights camping over there were a lot of rain and I could listen the sound of the water the entire night…

The morning I left Snowdonia was sunny and bright, the gps took me for a beautiful small road, here I had my reward for the rainy nights before. That day I was on my way to Aberystwyth to visit my friend.

I was surprised by this place which is a nice city with a lot of history. I stayed with Destina and her boyfriend Jay. We talked a lot about having adventures. You can have an adventure any day , for a weekend or for longer periods like me traveling this way. Also we share a lot of creative ideas. It’s always great to share and have feedback in the creative proces of your project.

I climbed to Constitution Hills to enjoy a wide view of the beach and the city. That afternoon I met again Destina who Works in teh old building of the university. I could see it is a really old building, there was this message at one of the doors: “Matches or candles not to be used. Only torch from General Office” LOL
